Isaac Olufadewa

Dr. Isaac is a social entrepreneur with almost a decade of experience in leadership in various global and national organizations that range from healthcare, leadership, public policy and social entrepreneurship fields. He has worked or currently works with organizations such as One Young World, Slum and Rural Health Initiative, ONE Campaign, Global Youth Mental Health Awareness, and IYAFP as an Advocacy Associate on the Empowering Evidence-Driven Advocacy (EEDA) project that is fully-funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation among others.

As a young public health and policy expert having worked with various organizations such as US-based International Youth Alliance for Family Planning (IYAFP), Pan African Reproductive Health Young Scientist Association (PARHYSA) and Australian-Based Global Youth Mental Health Awareness (GYMHA), Dr Isaac is very passionate about Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Non-Communicable Diseases and Mental Health of young people in Nigeria and Africa.

Dr. Isaac is an African Union’s Pan African University Scholar who was awarded a fully-funded Masters in Reproductive Health and he finished as the Best Graduating Student in his set with a close-to-perfect CGPA in 2019. Driven by his deeply-rooted interests and experience in research, community leadership and entrepreneurship, he founded and leads the SIMBIHealth that delivers comprehensive sexual, behavioural and mental health information to young people in Nigeria and Africa to curb NCDs, STIs/HIV, Depression and other conditions that affect young Africans.

He is the Founder/Executive Director of Slum and Rural Health Initiative (SRHIN), a registered youth-led and youth-focused organization that works at the intersection of health and the ART (Advocacy, Research and Technology). He leads SRHIN that has over 400 volunteers from 8 African countries that ensures that people in marginalised communities have access to healthcare information and services.

He is a Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneur Programme 2019 Award Winner, an author of ‘YOUNIQUE: 21 Strategies to a Purposeful Life’, and an adept public health researcher with over 10 publications.
